Pets of BRANDTECH

Rachelle Swafford and Kiwi
At 8 years old, Kiwi is equal parts charm and resilience, a mixed-breed mystery wrapped in rainbows and sunshine. Originally found as a stray in Texas with leg injuries, Kiwi now zooms through life on three legs like a pro—leaping onto beds and couches without a second thought. Whether she’s befriending cats, delighting kids, or eyeing your chicken nuggets, Kiwi’s joy is as unstoppable as her energy. If BRANDTECH ever launches dog merch, Kiwi’s already claimed her spot as top brand ambassador.
Trey Jones and Zapp
Zapp is a 6-year-old Red-Eared Slider with a laid-back vibe and a surprisingly expressive personality. Since college graduation, she’s been Trey’s low-key companion, happily splitting her time between sunlamp basking and leisurely swims. With a diet that includes minnows, goldfish, turtle pellets, and the occasional insect snack, Zapp keeps her mealtime routine delightfully diverse. She may be a turtle, but don’t be fooled—Zapp knows exactly when it’s feeding time and even throws a wink Trey’s way as a signal. With decades of life ahead, this shelled queen is just getting started.
Luisa Marino, Teddie and Winston
Teddie and Winston are 3-year-old silver tabby brothers who bring twice the mischief to their mom. Rescued as tiny kittens, they’ve since mastered the art of door-opening, kiss-giving, and soaking up belly rubs like it’s their job. Teddie, the more colorful of the pair, takes the lead in bug hunting, while Winston prefers a quieter cuddle or a shared nap. Their bond is as strong as their curiosity, and whether they’re exploring new corners or snoozing side by side, these brothers remind us that life is better when you have your best friend by your side.
Mike Mesteller and Tito
Tito is a lovable 12-year-old chihuahua-terrier with a big personality and a taste for sunshine. These days, he’s living his best life basking in warm sunbeams or sneaking snacks straight from the garden, with the cucumber plant as his favorite target. Whether he’s soaking up rays or staging a veggie heist, Tito proves that senior pups still know how to keep things playful and delicious.
Amy Hurtado and Cabo
At 4 years old, Cabo the Anatolian Shepherd is always on high alert, keeping a watchful eye over his backyard domain. When he’s not lounging in the sun, he’s dashing through the yard in pursuit of curious critters, always ready for a burst of action. With his loyal nature and playful spirit, Cabo takes backyard adventures to a whole new level.
Mary Lisa Sassano, Nardo and Gia
Meet Nardo and Gia, a spirited pair of Domestic Shorthairs born in February 2024. Adopted about a year ago, these brother-sister besties are inseparably playing hard, napping harder, and always teaming up for their favorite pastime: bug hunting. If a fly enters the house, it’s game over—Nardo and Gia won’t rest until it’s caught. Whether they’re chasing intruders or curled up side by side in a sunny spot, these two prove that life is twice as fun with a friend.
Alex Mangas and Atty
Meet Alex Mangas and his charming calico cat, Atty! Adopted from the SPCA in Ithaca back in 2017, Atty joined the family as a fuzzy solution to a mouse problem—and quickly became much more than that. Now around 11 or 12 years old, she enjoys stalking birds, sneaking snacks of human food, and being pampered with Purina Pro Plan wet meals. While Alex does most of the work during playtime, Atty’s favorite bonding ritual is “tummy time,” where she claims his stomach as her throne and expects absolute stillness. It's clear who runs the house—and Alex wouldn’t have it any other way.
Elva Franco and Lucy
Say hello to Elva Franco’s adorable pup, Lucy! A 10-year-old shichon (that’s a Shih Tzu–Bichon Frisé mix), Lucy has been by Elva’s side since she was a playful little puppy. Though technically in her double digits, Elva tells her she’s only two—and Lucy seems to believe it! She’s always up for an adventure, whether it's a road trip, a spin through the car wash, or a snack break with her beloved Open Farm treats and homemade sweet potato fries. Unsurprisingly, her favorite room is the kitchen—where the treats (and the fun) happen.
Jennifer Hanrahan and Raegan
Introducing Raegan, the beloved black mouth cur of Jennifer Hanrahan! At 10 years old, Raegan has been part of the family for over eight wonderful years since her adoption. She’s happiest when she’s out on a walk or splashing around in her doggie pool on sunny days. Her all-time favorite treat? Cheese—hands down. Whether they’re out exploring or relaxing at home, Jennifer and Raegan are the perfect pair.
